Cinema equipment, not consumer gear
RED V-Raptor X, Sony Burano, DZOFilm Arles Cinema Primes, Schoeps directional microphones – this is equipment typically used in advertising and film productions. With us, it's all ready for you, without the need to book, pick up, insure, and return it individually.
Broadcast audio at television quality
Sound Devices 833 field mixer, up to 16 Shure SM7B, Schoeps CMC41 and CMIT5u directional microphones, DPA headsets and lavaliers - our audio chain is the same one used by ZDF, ARD and international productions.
All inclusive - no hidden costs
Lighting, wireless systems, monitoring, memory cards, cables, booths, sets – everything is included in our package price. No fine print, no extra charges for individual items. What's on the invoice is everything.
Experienced crew instead of self-service
In many studios, you're given a room and you press "record" yourself. With us, an experienced camera operator and sound engineer are on set with you at all times. You focus on your content, we take care of the technical aspects.
Three sets, one location
Black background, Brown Lounge, Neutral – you switch between sets without leaving the room. Add to that a green screen, PIXLIP LED wall, and modular chair configurations. Everything is acoustically optimized and permanently set up.
Files on the same day
No waiting for rentals, no upload chaos. You receive your recording files directly on the day of recording – in up to 8K RAW if needed. Editing and post-production are available as optional extras.

Lieferung & Abholung
Coordinating equipment from multiple rental companies, scheduling time slots, driving yourself or booking a courier service. With us: Everything is already in the studio, set up and tested.
Setup & Dismant
Cameras, lighting, audio, monitoring – wiring everything up, setting it up, and then packing it all away securely. That easily adds 2-3 hours. With us: Ready to go when you arrive.
Insurance & Deposit
Most rental companies require a deposit of 100-200% of the daily rental rate. For an Enterprise setup with a daily rental rate of €14,330, that would amount to up to €28,000 that you would have to pay upfront. With us: Completely waived.
Availability
For a standard setup, you would have to check availability, book, and manage invoices for up to 30 positions individually. With us: One booking, one contact person, one invoice.
Any more questions about the price comparison?
Where do the individual rental prices come from?
All prices are based on current daily rates from established Berlin rental companies – including Camelot, Sachtler, Toneart, and Media Broadcast. Prices are updated regularly. We have documented the source for each item.
Can I bring my own camera with the audio package?
Yes, that's exactly what it's for. You get our professional sound and film yourself – with your own camera, smartphone, or whatever you use. We make sure the sound is perfect.
What does a daily rate include?
6 hours of pure recording time. Setup and teardown are extra but are of course included in the price – we take care of that. You arrive, everything is set up, and you have the whole day for your content.
What is the difference between this and self-service podcast studios?
In self-service studios, you typically get a room with two to four Shure SM7B or Rode microphones and maybe a Blackmagic Pocket Camera. You do everything yourself—technical setup, lighting, sound, and recording. At Redbox Studios, experienced operators work with broadcast and cinema equipment. These are two completely different worlds in terms of quality and results.
Can I book something that goes beyond the daily rate?
Sure. For multi-day productions, campaigns, or special requests, we'll create a customized offer for you. Just send us a message.
Where can I find the list of comparisons?
At the end of this website you will find all lists with comparable rental fees from rental companies here in Berlin.
What is the difference between Standard Video and Enterprise?
The standard package includes a complete video podcast session with 3 RED cameras, professional lighting and Shure SM7B microphones - everything you need for a single cinema-quality episode.
The Enterprise package goes significantly further: It includes the Sony Burano and Sony A1 II cameras, the complete DZOFilm Arles Cinema Primes set for a true cinematic look, high-end audio with Schoeps and DPA microphones, wireless systems, lavalier microphones, and a moving camera with motorized slider, dolly, and Easyrig. You also get unlimited crew and optional upgrades such as medium format photography, makeup, or set design. In short: Standard is perfect for individual podcast episodes, Enterprise is for anything where you refuse to compromise—campaigns, series, long-form productions, or when you simply want to get the absolute maximum.
